CONTEXT

Climate finance programmes must demonstrate gender-responsiveness to meet Green Climate Fund requirements and ensure equitable distribution of climate benefits. This assessment provided the evidence base for programme design across a diverse set of national contexts.

MY ROLE

Research Analyst — lead researcher for cross-country gender and climate analysis.

APPROACH & KEY ACTIVITIES

• Reviewed national gender and climate frameworks, policies, and secondary data across 10+ countries

• Conducted analysis in Portuguese, Spanish, and French, ensuring accurate interpretation of country-specific contexts

• Synthesized cross-country findings to identify common patterns and country-specific barriers

• Produced findings to inform programme design and donor-level strategic positioning for Green Climate Fund submission

OUTCOME

Delivered a multi-country gender and climate evidence base that directly informed programme design and contributed to Green Climate Fund strategic positioning.
